I found it very interesting to do a google search on that word. I learned something I hadn't known before. And I was touched that Lou shared something about how he considered this a gift of his.

As it happens, my major gift is one that frequently causes me a lot of pain socially, Lou. My therapist has taught me to be proud of it, or maybe he's still teaching me. I'd be happy to continue the discussion on Social or Faith, if you're interested, Lou. To my knowledge, it doesn't have a name though. I'd sure like to find a name for it. (a good name - I've been given a few bad names)

gg,
You wrote,[...allows us to see...thought process as it unfolds...].
I think that you are on the right track here in your perception and you have brought up an important point reletive to this discussion.
For there to be an unfolding, would it not be that what is there is folded over? It is this unfolding that reveals what could be seen.
You see, there are things that can be seen. But there are things that one does not see that others may have seen. It is not that the others do not see it because it is there and they can not see it, but it can not be seen because it is folded over. If I have seen , and I see the folding over of what could be seen, and unfold what is folded over, then what was unseen is now unveiled and could be seen. But this unveiling is, like you say, a thought process. It is this thought process of line upon line, precept upon precept, here a little , there a little, that is in my thought process that I have.

Thanks for explaining that, Lou. It makes a lot of sense to me, although I have not seen it in a writing style.

Take care,

Lou, do you like to read poetry? Some of the things you write (this post) reminded me of the word "folds" and games and just sheer delight in the use of language that is shown by Octavio Paz. His book of prose/poetry/thoughs called "Aguila o Sol?" (Eagle or Sun?) is FANTASTIC, even in English translation.

Have you ever read him? Are there other poets or writers you admire?

gardengirl,
You wrote,[...I have not seen it in qwriting style...].
The writing style is ancient going back to 3200 years ago and more.
