It actually is an excellent AD augmenter. Milk chocolate is not the best way to consume it, though, due to the high calorie content relative to cocoa content. Dark, less sweet chocolate gives you the beneficial compounds without the heavy calorie load. It's still a very dense food, calorie wise, but the darker the better. On a gram for gram basis, dark chocolate can be five times as concentrated as milk chocolate.

Hey thanks Larry. I'm off to the store to stock up on dark chocolate! :) I think my dad knew what he was doing all those years ago when my brothers and I were kids and he would feed us chocolate pudding for breakfast! All this time, I thought he couldn't cook, when he was really looking out for our mental health!

Chocolate pudding for breakfast? Go Dad go!

At least he knew you'd eat it, and not head off to school hungry.

Can have something really delicous occassionally instead of something more routine (in taste and habit terms)?

Not sure how that would affect the AD effects, but it does cheer up life a lot! My birthday was on my own yesterday (I was meant to be visiting my family but wasnt well enough). For pudding (dessert?) I had an individual tarte au chocolate (a bit like a plain pastry tart filled with dark chocolate mousse), with some greek yoghurt and strawberries on top. Mmmmmm.....!

I love dark choc, and there is lovely stuff which is 60-70% cocoa solids. Good for the iron, I tell myself!

Happy belated birthday to a fellow Scorpio! I celebrated my birthday on Friday. Sorry you were not well enough to spend it with your family. But happy that you were able to enjoy a yummy dessert! Hope you start to feel better soon, and that the year ahead is good to you.

Take care.

I love Lindt semisweet dark chocolate every day I buy those huge bars of it, I eat two rows in one sitting and mix it up with nuts 'n raisins and it's so good. But definitely I crave it more around once a month than other times. What does chocolate do for people?
