I think if in the new age people start to form militia groups and subvert the usual legal process, that it is just as likely that other groups will form. These groups won't always have the same goals. There too many people for that to happen. It wouldn't take long society to crumble.
Don't ask me why I wrote that. I'm just rambling....feel free to add ninjas and monks.

I understand that New Age people have already started a militia group. It's too late. And gorillas are praticing guerilla warfare.
I'm not so sure if massive amounts of different subversive militia groups would be a problem. New Agers can prevent collapse - all they have to do is some channelling...the gorillas practicing guerilla warfare will help keep the peace, until the right message is heard. Planet of the Apes is inaccurate. Gorillas are cool...they sit around and eat plants most of the day...Not sure why I wrote this either...

I like orangitans, as well. Don't remeber them having a huge part in Planet of the Apes. Such a shame. They seemed so peaceful...
I've taken to thinking that insects need to take over and boss us around for awhile, especially cockroaches. Cockroaches have been around for so long. They must know what's up by now.
