There was a short thread on Dorothy Parker on the Writing board, did you see it? Anyway, I dragged her off the shelf and read a short story entitled "Big Blonde" and thought of you all the way through. I think you'd like it, if only for the ending.
You seem like a Parker type .. where are you, dahling?

Ahhh yes, that's my very "attractive goal" to be found face down in my own vomit. But alas, I drink and drink and all I get is headaches, the occassional vomitting, and of course the kidney infections that occcur now more often than they used to. How much does it take to induce alcohol poisoning........I'm pretty sure I am up to a gallon a day now.

Well let's not get off the topic of the fabulous Dorothy Parker, now, because I think AG could really appreciate her right about now. See if you can find the writer, AdaGrace, if only to feel like you're in very good company.
