Your photo....
you are a good looking man who is taking a photo that is not to your best advantage.
put the camera up and look up instead of down.
get back from the camera.
take one hundred photos and pick the best one.
you can afford to do this.
remember this is for a partner....
you want to put your best foot forward.
Partners are very special people.
You want only the very best possibilities
my best to you
Jai

i suggest turning on a light in front of you, not behind you. sorry if you already knew that.
i noticed that you are a social worker. i am going into that field as soon as i get my undergrad degree in psych and social work (double major). what do you do and do you have any advice/opinions on going into the field?
thanks.

Thats a much better pic!! I didn't like the backwards baseball cap on the others.. its OK on 15 year olds, but over 25 and it tends to looks a bit.. um.. (trying desperately to think of the word!).. darn.. um.. Oh, the words gone, but just a bit immature is best word I can find *l*
But the new one shows your gorgeous sparkling eyes that just look so friendly.. They show you have a fun cheeky side, and that you love a good tickling *l* Oh, and you also look very huggable for some reason *LOL* I'd have ignored you totally with the baseball cap (I know, thats terrible), but wth that pic I would certainly be interested to find out more if I were looking for someone.
I do agree it could be improved upon.. a little more light, the angle could be a bit better.. But, the relaxed image, and the fun little grin and sparkle, work really well!
Good luck in the hunt.. I know it stinks, but in my experienjce, the true one will pop up when you least expect it, from the least expected angle!

So...we shall see...but thank you...and thanks of course for the very kind comment. :)
Sincerely,
Jay

About social work..well, you must be very careful. Going into it with mental health issues, you can burn yourself out very fast. Explore ALL areas of social work, and I would highly suggest staying away from the child aid/welfare services (you know..ones that deal with legal domestic, abuse, etc..) because even thought the pay is good, it will burn you to the core! So...take your time and try out some different placements.
Hope that helps. Thanks...
Best,
Jay

About my eyes...WOW!...and being HUGGGGABLE..:) thank you verrrry much. (More head gloating..lol.) And you'd take a second glance at little ol' me??..hehee. I think my ego is about to explode..lol. But ya, maybe I just need a better web cam, with wider angle and can pick up more light. But, I really am glad you picked up on my relaxed, kind of fun attitude, because that is a big part of me.
Just a bit of an update...I have had some very nice replies since I posted my first 'crybaby' message...some by very nice (on the inside first) woman who I thought where way outta my ballpark! The nice part is the 'getting to know', though...so we shall see!
Thank you so much dear for all of your kindness and support...
Sincerely,
Jay

Have you got a desk lamp or anything similar to try and get some more light in front of you? With alower wattage bulb than normal else the the light will be too harsh *ponders* Or even just turn up your screen brightness to full temporarily *giggles* (though I don't think that would be a very flattering light *L*)
Probably better than a new webcam, would be to invest in a digital camera. You can pick up pretty basic, but good ones quite cheap these days, and they do tend to give better pictures than a web cam!
Or, find a photo you like of you, and pop into an internet cafe and get it scanned there!

Just to show you how people can differ with respect to personal preference... I liked the cap. I thought it made you look fun...

Jay,
I think you should take a picture of you smiling. This picture looks kinda scary. And you are not a scary looking guy (I've seen your other pics).
This is the end of the thread.
