i have decided to break up with my boyfriend and move in with my mom four hours away. she just moved into this farm house and is working on creating a farm there. she has two dogs, a cat, rabbits and chickens. i have not lived with her since i was in sixth grade. she was an emotional wreck then, but has changed dramatically in the last 8 years. she is on meds for the first time and is doing well. she has the same problems that i do--OCD and bipolar II, but is much more compulsive and doesn't cycle as much as i do.
in the fall i plan to return to the dorms and resume my education. dorm life is so much easier than apartment living, which i cannot handle right now. i plan to lose a lot of weight this summer and next fall with the help of my mom. she knows everything about nutrition and has a membership at the local YMCA. i figure that if i can get my body in shape, my mind will follow suit.
overall, i am very scared about everything that is going to happen. i don't know how i am going to handle breaking up with my boyfriend and never seeing him again. it needs to happen, though, b/c i am totally dependent on him and don't really love him like he loves me. it has to end.

WOW! You're right - exciting and scary at the same time! But a nice scary I would think. What a wonderful opportunity to be in a position to rekindle your relationship with your mom, or even re-establish on a different level that relationship. And a farm! I would love to be able to live on a farm. It is such a different and, for me anyway, refreshing, way of life. I am sorry about the break-up with your boyfriend. But, I completely understand that feeling of dependence without the being in love. It is much better for both people, in the long run, that such a one-sided relationship come to an end (I hope I don't sound cold, it is not my intention. I just think you are making the right decision for you in this particular situation). I hope you are successful in your goal to lose weight and get in shape. I am sure once you get started you will do very well. Perhaps you can see a nutritionist for advice on a well-balanced diet to assist you in losing weight.
Wishing you all the best as you move forward with these exciting life changes. Take good care of yourself.

Good luck smokeymadison,
It's a huge step and I hope everything works out for you. BTW I'm slowly working my way through your website. It's hard going but worth it. Thanks for creating it.
