do you write?

Posted by PM80 on April 8, 2005, at 16:08:45

Here's a question: Do you write creatively (even if you don't share it with anyone)? If so, do you always do it or only sometimes? Do you only if you are sad/depressed? Or only when you are happy?

I generally go through phases. I'll write a lot for 1-3 months, when I'm exceptionally happy or depressed. Then I won't feel the urge or have any inspiration for a while (a while being in the range of months, generally).

I was just curious if there was trend among us.

Yes. I am actually a free lance writer (thanks to a great editor). I've been published for about a year now and currently write for a Christian women's bimonthly publication.

I journal often- I have about 6 journals filled to the brim going back to my 18th birthday. It's neat to look back on and see how far God has brought me since then.

Writing is cathardic for me. It's also a ministry tool for me to reach other women.

Interesting! My job is pretty darn far from the creative writing side of things, but I just like that particular outlet sometimes.
