I've been more stable for months now.
But still get depressed out of my mind for a few days, every now and then.Is that normal?
Not just the blues.....really bad, but then it's gone. So I should be grateful.
The worst part of depression for me was the overwhelming lonliness. Don't feel it as much anymore, but it's still there, even when I'm in the room with someone I care about.
It's been sooooo long since I could *be* in a room with someone who cared about me and whom I cared about. Now I've got it, and it *still* doesn't always keep the pain away.
I should be grateful the pain is not daily, hourly, minutely, secondly anymore.
Right?

Dag, that sounds like I'm whining, doesn't it.
Something's wrong and I can't figure out what it is.....

whining is good. My mantra is "I feel a whine coming on".
Some people feel completely fulfilled with their lives and some don't. Isn't that kind of the human condition? If Columbus had been happy with his neighborhood he would never have discovered the New World (for those who believe he was the discoverer).
I hope you discover what is missing for you. It might not be your relationship. It might be something else entirely.

Thank you for your kind words. I like how you see things. :-) I once used to think that this world does not belong to those who adapt, but to those who change it. And you don't change something unless you don't like it, I guess. Weird to think that change may stem from discontent.
Finding a good relationship was like the immediate fire to put out. Finding true happiness still seems a bit out of reach....
we'll see.

Hey snoozin,
Don't worry about it. I always like to have some peach grumble and I-scream with my whine.
Warm wishes comin' your way.

Hey there.
I think I get what you mean.
Things are okay but...
Sort of not...
Somethings sort of not right...Be kind to yourself.
Remember to be kind and gentle to yourself.
To do small things to look after yourself.
Little pleasures.
Maybe part of it is you tellling you that you need a bit of care from you if you get what I mean :-)

I think it is normal even for happy people to feel depressed sometimes...I think sometimes it is a good thing, to be able to feel depressed. It lets you enjoy the moments of joy that much more, to know what depression is.
I wouldn't want to be happy all the time, I think it would get boring. :-) As long as the sadness is not debilitating, I think it might even be healthy to be depressed sometimes. It might be your body's way of telling you to take things more slowly...take some time to take care of yourself.
This is the end of the thread.
