"Everybody wants to rule the world"
"My Sharona"
anything by Phil Collins
My gym plays the WORST music. I should just write down every song that comes on while I'm there tomorrow. They would typically all make this list. I think my gym subscribes to a "discard bin" music station, one that plays the songs no one ELSE wants to hear. Oh well!

I think it would be "the artist". Although, with some, the term artist is a bit of a stretch, I think :-)

-- Yeah, disco can be annoying.

-- I was thinking the same thing the other day about Phil Collins - some of his songs annoy me.-- I heard part of another annoying in a commercial last night - "Everybody Wang Chung tonight . . ." Yak, that is an incredibly annoying song. Your gym probably couldn't even find a reason to use that song :-) Oh, and don't forget anything by Air Supply. And then there was that annoying song "Solid, solid as a rock . . ."

-- When I taught aerobics years and years ago, I bought lots of music that I normally would not touch with a ten foot pole (although it didn't annoy me enough to actually turn if off) because the beat was really good for a class. But, it was mixed in with good stuff as well.

Do you mean "Love Shack" by the B52s? If so, I really like that one. It's wonderfully campy.I hate the "Wang Chung" song too.
There are so many that I hate and will change the radio channel when they start playing - but for the life of me I can't think of even one of them now.

Air Supply is really awful. I can't stand Abba either.Do you mean Bob Dylan? If so, I LOVE his music, but then I'm a child of the 60's.
How about all of the teeny bopper music that is played on the radio now? Brittany Spears and Co.? Does it get any worse than that?

Well TamaraJ,
Everybody would get depressed in listening Lionel Ritchie, Diana Ross and Sarah McLaughlin ;-)
You have to listen some AC/DC and Metallica. Thus your body will be in mode desire and your mind twisted ;-) LOL
Good day!

But I can't stop singing "Holly jolly Christmas" by Burl Ives. Then there's "Grandma got run over by a reindeer."

Ugh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Kinda defeats the purpose of exercise being a mood elevator when the people working out are subjected to annoying music!!

Yeah, Air Supply can be grating. I don't mind Bob Dillon though, but I can see why some might find him annoying.

Abba can be a bit hard to take. Oh, yeah, Brittany Spears and some of those other teeny boppers can be really annoying. And, I just thought of another one who gets on my nerves - Celine Dion. I find her so freaking annoying.

-- AC/DC once in a while is fun, but I have never been a big fan of heavy metal. Perhaps it is because my mind is twisted enough :-)Tamara

For some reason, that Holly, Jolly Christmas song can be contagious LOL. The Grandma song is a bit annoying, but it's kinda funny :-).

maybe I shouldn't admit it, but I really like some of Britney spears' songs! I feel so like a "wannabe kid again" but some of the beats really get me groovin' !!! I actually would like it if the gym played la spears once in a while...

yah, around Xmas those both get in my head and don't get out. Sometimes I think there are permanent neural pathways burnt into my brain esp. for those songs!

You're right - definitely not one of his better songs.
What about that one by Queen - "I'm in Love with My Car". What a ghastly song. I really did quite like "A Night at the Opera", but I always had to skip by that song. It was just so annoying.
