Yeah, Air Supply can be grating. I don't mind Bob Dillon though, but I can see why some might find him annoying.

Abba can be a bit hard to take. Oh, yeah, Brittany Spears and some of those other teeny boppers can be really annoying. And, I just thought of another one who gets on my nerves - Celine Dion. I find her so freaking annoying.

For some reason, that Holly, Jolly Christmas song can be contagious LOL. The Grandma song is a bit annoying, but it's kinda funny :-).
> But I can't stop singing "Holly jolly Christmas" by Burl Ives. Then there's "Grandma got run over by a reindeer."

maybe I shouldn't admit it, but I really like some of Britney spears' songs! I feel so like a "wannabe kid again" but some of the beats really get me groovin' !!! I actually would like it if the gym played la spears once in a while...

yah, around Xmas those both get in my head and don't get out. Sometimes I think there are permanent neural pathways burnt into my brain esp. for those songs!

You're right - definitely not one of his better songs.
What about that one by Queen - "I'm in Love with My Car". What a ghastly song. I really did quite like "A Night at the Opera", but I always had to skip by that song. It was just so annoying.

Must be a recessive gene or something that only rears its ugly head at Christmas LOL.

Just kidding LOL :-) I am a closet Carpenters fan. Have been since I was about 10 or 11 years old. When I am really, really, really despondent, sometimes I put on some old Carpenters music (which I keep very well hidden LOL). So, don't feel bad about liking Brittany Spears :-)

Now how can you like Karen Carpenter and not like Sarah Mclachlan??? Don't you even like "Possession"? (I think that's the name of it. I just love that song.)

I think Jenstar's right though. Some of the songs that we don't like to listen to as music are good for exercising. This might be another one of those (although perhaps not for you :-)).

To me, their voices are very, very different. I find Sahah Mclauchlan's voice too high at times. But, it is my dog that doesn't like her :-) I can listen to her, and even saw her in concert (wouldn't have if I had had to buy the tickets though), but my dog starts this low pitch howl when some of her songs come on. It's almost like my dog is in absolute agony, especially when "Arms of the Angels" is playing. Poor little thing :-(

I do remember the birds chirping. And, who can forget the high pitched squeal-like thing that happens at some point in the song. What the hell was going on in the recording studio!?!?!?Beyond annoying, and moving into the absolutely nauseating category!!!

Me too! I had a bunch of their albums when I was that age, too. Love to sing along.

Oh lord, that squeal...and those birds...yuck!
I hate "I'm too sexy for my shirt"
And I have had "The Night Chicago Died" stuck in my head for a week now. I hate ear worms! I tried to give it to Racer, but I failed. And she stuck me with another one...The Bay City Rollers!!!!! Now that's just cruel.
Also, I actually like this song, but it's also been stuck in my brain for days--"One Tin Soldier".

BTW, I like One Tin Soldier, too. I like the message.
