I like "The ox is slow, but the earth is patient." Sometimes, when I am beyond hyper, and wanting to do everything, and have everything happen, NOW, NOW, NOW, I think of it and it puts things in perspective. Then I want everything to be done and happen in 5 minutes from now LOL. I sloooooooooooooooooooooows me down :-) Perhaps my favorite quote should be "Patience is a virtue" LOL

I always thought it was "Do unto others as you would have them do unto to you.", but I may be wrong (treat others as you would like them to treat you). I like that one as well.

Isn't that great!

I especially liked JYL's timing, because when she posted it the first time, everyone else was quoting really eloquent "life theme" quotes.

Regarding schools, I love this line from a Jimmy Buffett song talking about how they used to teach school children "about civil defense".

Enlightenment

Express yourself completely, then become quiet.
Open yourself to heaven and earth, and be like the forces of nature: when the wind blows, there is only the wind; when it rains, there is only rain; when the clouds pass, the sun promises to shine.

If you open yourself to insight, you are at one with insight and you can use it completely.

Open yourself to heaven and earth, then trust your natural responses; and everything will fall into place.

Lao Tsu
