I tried out another online forum and even interacted with the administrator there...it is very different there.
He upset me a lot. He is too reactive.
My posts got deleted...I got paranoid. I wasn't even uncivil...I don't understand.
I think I like Dr. Bob more...I like that he is like a rock.

But it is good to get out there and see what the differences are.
Otherwise, you have no frame of reference, right?
So, I'd say it's brave and important that you did that.
Glad we all have Babble though, and glad you are a part of it. I personally love watching you grow and change and learn and laugh and give some REALLY wise and supportive words to people here.
It's really delightful to witness that, you know :-)
Hope saying that is not too intrusive of me. I mean it in a good way, I promise you.
I figure as I'm more that twice your age, AND have that urge to mother (help, I hope) people in their early twenties especially - a least a tiny bit - maybe I get a small free pass?

Oh, yeah. Alex brought that up recently in another way in a another discussion. I agree with you. It can be quite comforting in many ways, can't it?

Hello. I think the hardest thing about going somewhere else is that it is different. It can be really hard to adjust to differences. And it can take a while to figure out the standard that is expected, just like it can take a while to figure out the standard that is expected over here.
Doc John's not so bad. It can take a bit to get used to him because he is different. I have heard some people whos opinion I really respected say that he has helped them a lot. And there are a lot of other really wonderful posters over there too.
That being said, I feel at home here too.
Maybe its familiarity. Who knows.
