He will be missed.

"She cannae take it, Captain!! The dilithium crystals aren't stable!" How many bad work days did Scottie get me through?? Aye, he was a fine man.
Oh, how I loved him. He'd been ill for a while, I believe.
God rest his soul.

Oh crap! This really upsets me. I was such a star trek geek once upon a time. Oh scotty, I wish you well.

It's really sad.
I was a HUGE Trekker. I met Mr. Doohan once and got a quick hug with my autograph. He was very polite and funny.
When DeForest Kelley passed on a while back, I remember crying.
Shatner and Nimoy still going strong for now....but they are getting up there....
I seemed to have learned a lot from STTOS, way back when. The lasting and important relationships between characters on that show really sunk in with me, I think.

That is so very sad. :(
I felt the same way you did about the original series. I'm not a huge sci fi fan, but that series was more about people than science fiction. I'm happy to call myself a Trekker. (Just the original series though.)
I met him once at a convention as well. I don't recall much about it, but I still have the autograph somewhere. And I remember thinking what a great sense of humor he had during the presentation.
Gosh I miss those. Do they still have them? I had soooo much fun in the memorabilia sales hall.

Those autographs will be beaming up in value bout now.
Sorry if that was insensitive.
But it does tend to work that way.I was never much of a trekker.
But what I have seen I enjoyed very much.

the original star trek was a huge part of my formative years. May scottie rest in peace.
