I haven't talked to my T about it yet, but I saw a job in a local paper that seems to fit my experience. They want someone part-time, and hopefully it won't jeapordize my SSDI. I see my T on Tuesday, and I'll be talking about it with her then. The job is "Mechanical Guru" and that partly describes my last job. It is in a brewery though, and that will require some thought.

Good luck! Get out your guru shirt and iron it tonite!
Would you care to expound upon why it will require some thought? Just curious.

The reason the job will require some thought is because I have this problem with alcohol. I don't know if I'm an alcoholic, but drinking sometimes gets me into a bit of trouble. My T has mentioned concern for my drinking, and I am trying to quit. It's not easy. Thank you for asing.

That could be a problem. I know they get a free case of beer a week at the cannery around St. Louis. I wonder if you'd evern come into contact with any beer, though.
Anyway, best of luck!

I spoke to the executive brewer on Monday afternoon on the telephone. We had a pleasant talk, and he wanted to talk to me further so I will be meeting with him on Wednesday afternoon. I'm kind of excited and think that this could be a good job.
It's part time, which is what I need. I'll have to find out how many hours they need... I don't want to jeapordize my SSDI, and I have to talk to my therapist about it today, but I'm hopeful. Thanks for the wishes for luck.

Well, I had the interview today, and I think things went well. They had a piece of equipment that wasn't working while I was there, and when I got home I e-mailed the executive brewer and offered to come in tomorrow and fix the machine if it wasn't fixed already. I hope they take me up on the offer as it would show that I do really know what I'm talking about.
The equipment that is broken is the one that takes bottles of beer and puts them in cases. The cases aren't stopping to let the machine put the bottles in. It should be an easy fix, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that they'll call me back.
