My husband said that if I want to go see a Psychiatrist it is ok, but he is afraid that the doctor will tell me that I shouldn't go to work.
I dont think that the doctor will tell me that. Any input will help.

I think a psychiatrist can give you options, and options are always a good thing. Good luck.

I don't think a p-doc will tell you not to work. She/he might tell you to consider taking a vacation :-), but not to leave work! They are supposed to help you be *more* functional, not less!

If you are performing your job no pdoc will tell you to stop working. Fondly, Phillipa

Phillipa (and everyone else) is right. I would seriously question any p-doc or other T. that told me that, flat out. And even if one did, their words are recommendations, suggestions, and their opinions - that is all.
Remember, with someone good, *you* will always remain in control of your own therapy. It's yours, after all :-) God bless, and I pray you get some of the help you need.
