Take 5 - 5 Signs you are addicted to coffee

Posted by TamaraJ on September 20, 2005, at 15:38:58

1. You drink a cup of instant joe while your coffeemaker brews.

2. You don't sweat, glow or glisten - you percolate.

3. You affectionately introduce your significant other as your "coffee mate".

4. You watch DVDs on fast-forward.

5. Your eyes stay open even when you sneeze.

I love my coffee. I know that I need to stop drinking so much of it.

I like that song, "Everything I love is killing me, nicotene, caffein, and I forgot the rest"

lol

Tempting, however one must not under any circumstances succumb to instant. Of course, do let me know if you find a good brand. ;-)

>3. You affectionately introduce your significant other as your "coffee mate".

LOL! My boyfriend is going to regret me having read this. :-)

-- I used to have a major coffee problem (at least 12 cups a day, triple espressos, you name it - yipes!). Now I rarely drink coffee, but I do miss it, especially when I am out for dinner and I smell the delicious espresso.

-- That's true :-) I'm not sure "good brand" and "instant" go together LOL. But, I was desparate enough to drink instant. I was at the cottage, on an island, and the guys who did the grocery shopping forgot the coffee. I was going through major withdrawal and couldn't keep my eyes open. We went over to another friend's cottage on the lake for a barbeque, and they thought I was wasted because I kept curling up and nodding off. Finally someone said she hasn't had any coffee since yesterday. So, I was given a cup of instant (which was better than nothing at that point) and revived. LOL

I think good instant coffee is an oxymoron don't you?

Even if it tasted okay, it's just WRONG :)

I do, but I'm still holding on to the frail hope that somewhere out there exists a coffee for the days when I'm too tired to make a whole pot. ;-)

I think I caught my pdoc drinking instant coffee once. That better have been tea or my faith in him is seriously going to be shaken.

hi gabbix,:)

y'all are cute..enjoyed the thread..:)

not to break up comic tone here, but i think there was some taste test in which some instant brand was rated better than several brewed coffees...maybe you guys have heard about it..can't remember which brand, though..it is still hard to believe, though, and just *wrong*, as you say ..:)

anyways, glad to see you're still here, gabster! you're a sweet, sweet gal..just wanted tuh say hi..and for god's sake stop snorting your coffee everywhere!!! :)

alesta :)

Funny? FUNNY?!?! Do realise that this man is also my T! Can you even imagine the damage a person could cause in that position while on IC?

Not that I'm hysterical or anything, you know. ;-)

Oh Good god.. you're so right. I hang my head in shame for not grasping the seriousness of the situation, perhaps if I'd FINISHEd that cup of coffee I snorted all over before posting it would have occurred to me. Now let's just hope.. he doesn't douse it in hazelnut flavoured edible oil product.
(oh dear perhaps I should have put a trigger on this)

Oh yes, as much as I'm attached to the good doctor, that would be grounds for termination right there. But I'd be compassionate about it and leave in my wake non-blasphemous coffee and coffee products.
