Or prayers if you're the praying sort.
For me and my family and my therapist and his family. If Rita hits the place he just bought his house in, heaven knows where he'll move next. :(
For everyone in the path of the storm.
I know that hurricanes have been around forever, and that we've chosen to live where they show up now and again.
But, boy, what a year.
I am praying it weakens substantially before it reaches land.
Sigh. I feel responsible, you know. :( I was angry about my therapist moving away from me. It's incredible what power I have when I tempt the fates. :(((((

All good thoughts are greatly appreciated. It sounds like my therapist is safely esconced near home, and we're safe enough where we are. But we might not be able to go home on Saturday as we expected, because of traffic and weather conditions on the road.
I know intellectually that I am not responsible. But viscerally I believe so strongly in the fates, and what happens when you aren't careful what you say. :( It may sound stupid, and it's something we've worked on for ages in therapy. It might be an OCD thing. But it's way easier to believe things intellectually than emotionally.

hi Dinah,
I hope and pray that you will be OK. I"m thinking of you, your family and everyone who's in danger!I was glad to read that your mt trip went so well. Your son sounds like a dear sweet boy, and it's obvious that you're raising him so well. :) You're a lucky mom and he's lucky to have you too!
