Not sure if you did...

Sounds like it could be be quite a bit longer before she can easily (or at all) read/post here...:-( It s*cks - for her and us.

I know. I think of her all the time and wish we could know/do something.

But then again, I wouldn't want 'trying to find a place to go online' to be yet another stressor for her...<sigh> Can't win right now, I guess.

I just keep hoping the tiredness and complete distraction that can come with having to deal with all the damage from the storms can actually work to Dinah's advantage somehow, in the sense of keeping your mind so active and your hands so busy, you have zero time for negative and/or desparate thoughts...

That's me trying pull a positive out of an extreme negative. The only way I know how to cope.

I saw that. Nothing since?

I worry about her, too.

I got the impression that she was taking a leave of absense from Babble as her work place was destroyed as well. Fondly, Phillipa

Things are pretty rotten. I've got Verizon wireless internet service, which is nice. But I really feel too bad to post.

I'm ramped up to about six times my old doseage of Risperdal which I only took as needed, and I'm on my way up to eight times. I'm probably taking too many Klonopin but I'm staying alive and that's something.

Too distressing to go into, but I've got an appt with a new therapist Monday, and I'm going to be driving to Huntsville soon to scope out moving.

I really really really don't want to talk about xxx, and that's why I haven't posted.

I really don't want to talk about it, ok?

Thanks for caring.

hi Dinah,
I'm glad you're ok (so to speak), although I'm terribly sorry about your situation. I'm thinking of you and hoping you're OK and that things start improving soon. :)

If you want, we can all make a pact not to talk about any of the "xxx" things that are disturbing right now. Do you want to talk about something frivolous or fun? I know you're not feeling fun right now. But if you want to reach out at all, and just talk about "stuff", we're here for you.

Take care of yourself. I'm so glad you posted briefly. I hope to hear you back here again soon!

I suppose that it's just my therapist I don't want to talk about.

The rest of the hell of my life I don't mind talking about. The inlaws, my mother, the trying to find contractors when there are really none to be had. And seeing things go from bad to worse because of it. And everything else.

But there's no real point to it. Everything sucks and there's nothing I can do about it.

It's good to see you posting. I've missed you.

I hope things suck less as time goes by...

I'll be thinking of you.

Dinah -

I'm so glad you posted to let us know how you are doing. My internet service has been down for 5 days and I felt out of touch (could only catch up at work for a few minutes each morning).

I was sadden to read that things are not getting any better, especially with your T. It breaks my heart to know that this storm destroyed so much more than houses and things, it broke up relationships so numerous to mention. I am encouraged that you have the strength to see another T ... it's going to be so hard to see someone else, try to keep an open mind. No one can replace "your T". He will always have such a special place in your heart.

You are always in my thoughts and prayers. Americans have not forgotten about Katrina, even though other news is now being covered. We are still organizing relief efforts locally.

Post when you can. I was so happy to see your name when my husband FINALLY got our internet service working again (sometimes husbands can be handy to have around ....).

Love and Miss You!
Your friend,
Annie
