Playing Chopin
It's unbelievable.
Life was never really this good.

Where does it take you?
Ghetto in the summertime.
Where have I seen this? Have you seen it?
Where is this feel of deja vu?
Imagine, travelling a street in India,
no sound but this,
listening to this music.
Just imagine, and breathe deeply.

This is the romance of life.
Right here, in this music, in this mind.. does anyone, anyone at all understand, or am I as crazy as I suspect?
I don't really care.
I'm having too much fun, this is so great.
I'm seeing something happy, colourful and bright, people are laughing, there's love in the street.
Do you think that happens?

> The Cello Suites

I've had Tortelier's recording for many years and loved it. More recently I bought a CD of the recording Pablo Casals did back in the 1930s or something like that... If you haven't heard Casals you have to hear it!

And then I found out about the Solo Violin Suites...

I have Csaba Onczay.
Mmmmm but I'll listen to yours, I'll order it I'll be the library has it. Which reminds me, I need to go. Soon. I love the library, sigh. I've been bringing music into work, and i've had good responses so far, I've even caught patients enjoying it immensely. I've seen people be really pleasant and relaxed, much better than sitting in a silent room. Jesus, you should've heard it in there some days. Only the air conditioning making noise, and the Bradma machine, and people looking at each other, at a magazine, at the floor, at me, at the walls, at each other. Man. But put a little real brainwave-loving music into the mix and you can completely alter an emotional atmosphere.. you know? But I think that takes a responsibility too, so I'm looking for light and beautiful, but not too beautiful and not too many minors. So Handel and Haydn, Mozart, a bit of Chopin, not too heavy on the minors as I said, not too much expression. You have to be very careful with music, you know? I've taken on that responsibility at work. People seem to be okay with it so far.
Mind you, I'd stop if I were told, but I think it would be inconsiderate of the patients to not have a relaxing, inviting atmosphere. This is surgery we're talking about. This is not a minor thing and studies have shown, it's been proven, that music played in OR's can actually shorten a patient's healing time.
I mean.. Wow.

I don't know Pablo Casals, well, I do, and I don't. Because it makes me weep too much. Last time I listened to Casals the moon as full, it was a cold November night and I was alone, I'd been alone for far too long, my heart was broken, my mind was broken, and I wept too much.

So this is Bach? Because I'm really very very ignorant, but I love music.
I just spent a lifetime kind of running away from it :] It has bad memories.

I suspect that being in love is like this. If it means you're crazy, then crazy isn't so bad.
