impulsive self-destructiveness..finit!

Posted by alesta on October 28, 2005, at 8:06:33

man, why do i tend to self-destruct when things are going well? it's kind of like a masochistic tendency. it doesn't pervade my life, but comes out in little ways, sometimes disguised as empathy...i look out for others more than/at the expense of myself. (the way i handle my overwhelming concern for certain others is sometimes toxic.) i plan to terminate this behavior ASAP. this is the final frontier to my mental health...i think i've finally arrived. woohoo

What was it that helped you decide to let it go?

Making up your mind can be the worst part.

It's all downhill once you make up your mind to change things! Not that it's easy, but once you get used to the freedom, it'll become 2nd nature.

I'm proud of you!

XOXO

Decision making is what's rough. Nightmares etc. But once you make a decision the anxiety is relieved. Fondly, Phillipa
