I've read that it is a symptom. I think it's because if you're depressed your self esteem can be low, and (I, at least) associate low esteem with feeling lonely. Like not being good enough to have any friends.

I think I am depressed. And lonely. And my self esteem is low. I should be so lucky to have so much? lol, bad joke alert.

I think it is like a revolving door. Lonliness can turn into depression and depression leads to lonliness. And it looks like I dont know how to spell lonliness.

Angela, you deserve MORE self esteem!
