Fellow Babblers,
I have returned for the moment.
I fininshed an MA in Counseling Psychology with a Specialization in Transpersonal Psychology in September. I'm an applicant for a California Marriage and Family Therapist Intern number. I have a supervisor who is waiting for me to get said number so I can be in her private practice setting.
I'm still a Mental Health Counselor for homeless youth 30 hours per week, (three nights per week.) And I'll need that job until I get enough clients.
On a sad note (yes I'm a guy) I was dating a guy for four months. I broke up with him two weeks ago and he assaulted me as I was leaving his apartment. I slammed the door. He grabbed me and pushed me against the wall. He yelled at me. I called the police. Now I have a temporary restraining order and a court date to make it permanent.
I have legal representation through a non-profit and this lawyer is an expert with restraining orders. She says I'll get it.
So, I'm a mixed bag right now. I'm happy to have had such a grand accomplishment and to be on the verge of something I hope will be wonderful. And I'm still healing from the assault. My body wasn't hurt. My emotions and spirit will take time to heal.

Ahh, another relationship gone sour. Bummer. On the bright side, I'd prefer my counselor have some good, real world experience.

Something in the air. My Blind Son is going through this now with his wife. Married for the second time. Sheriff was there today and advised him to change locks on doors to house and got on the phone to his attorney and told the attorney he needed to see him tomorrow instead of today. After all he did to help her supposedly recover from mental illness. he completed summa cum laude at ECU in Sociology . Social Worker one of the only things the Military would pay for in college since is legally blind from injury in Iraq during Desert Storm. Fondly, phillipa
