I'm not going to make it...
But someone I know is looking for a recipie.
Have only been able to find ones with 'heavy cream'.
Apparantly... You can't just freeze yoghurt because without some kind of setting agent it will seperate...

uh. whats an ice cream freezer?

does anyone know if you can add some kind of setting agent to ordinary yoghurt???

gelatine?

or if you can just food process it periodically while it is freezing to stop it seperating?

I cant believe I know this!!

Its like a thermal container that keeps the cold in. Like a metal coffee mug but for ice cream. hmm, I think that you have to keep the liquid moving and the ice cream freezer is probably a moving freezer, maybe it turns? They could try to make it by rolling it around in a tupperware container? when I was little we made icecream that way once, took a really long time though.

hmm.
we made baileys icecream once...
well... we had a couple gos at it.
the first time... the recipe really didn't have very much baileys in it at all so we doubled it... or trebled it... or something ;-)

and so it didn't freeze properly.

so we tried again according to directions. i think... we had to take it out of the freezer and food process it briefly every couple hours until it was properly set to stop it seperating...

maybe...
you could just chuck yoghurt in the freezer and do that every couple hours???

maybe...

?

nope, it won't work. It needs something else in it to prevent it from becoming a solid ice rock. But you could make lowfat frozen popsicles that way. they are good.
