on track after 5 years ;-) i am feeling 'okay' since receiving the letter and knowing my case did matter. that i mattered. that someone could not do that to me and walk away. i have lived in my own prison, he should live in one too. i am back at finishing my criminal justice degree and finishing my book ;-)i am beginning to forgive myself and even love me again...why it took 5 years is crazy but it is here, the closure that i needed and i am getting my life back. i am stronger now and actually appreciate what i have. just felt like talking....

Your post brought tears to my eyes.
You are awe inspiring. I know you probably don't see it because you're just trying to get through, but you are. You are a positive example to other girls who share your experience. I'm proud to know someone so strong.

It's a real milestone.
