Wrote Spring Mid-term..very down..so lonely I cry

Posted by Jay on June 2, 2006, at 19:58:29

Well, I think I did *ok* (MAYBE) on my mid-term...but I still have that "glass is half-empty" thinking going on. I was a bit dumb in taking a benzo tonight right before the exam...as that would have fudged up my memory a bit.I'm sitting in the hall waiting to go into the lecture room to write the exam, and the place is swarming with..errr..kids! Man, they are LOUD! I know I sound like a prude. But, even when I was 19,20, I thought their behaviour was so fake ego-centric. I go to look for people in my class I recognize...and they just turn their head if they see me coming!

I don't know what I need right now. I am just waiting to get my degree (hurry hurry!), so then I can either move up in my job, or go to teacher's college.(Acckkkk..more kids!!..lol.) But woman wise...I have some kind of anti-woman power or something.

Ok...I'll shut up...thanks for reading this far..

Thanks Philipa. Is there a pill for this? ;-) I am what you would call the "eternal fatalist"..that's out of a song from a local Canadian band..."Life's a bitch for the eternal fatalist..."..lol. I do have periods where I feel better,,but then I also think of more crap..lol. Thank you very much..please take care.

Lonely is horrid & being lonely in a crowd of people is the loneliest!

Sounds like you've gone back to school or are in a situation where you're a fair bit older than the students? That would help in making you feel lonely too, I'd think.

Good luck!!! Kath
