I've never been to a waterpark before! I'm going with friends.
I don't know how to swim, but they assured me I don't need to know how.
I'm a bit self conscious, I will need to be in a bathing suit. I don't see other people with less than perfect bodies as being ugly, I don't know why I see myself as ugly and fat.

You're going to have a blast, water parks are so fun. If you feel self conscious in your swimsuit, have you tried those that look like a tank and shorts? That's what I wear. Or some people just wear shorts with their suit.
I'm going to Six Flags tomorrow! Its been YEARS since I've been. I'm taking my nephew along with some others. He's been asking me to take him to 'Six Flags Over Texas' (that's how he says it, the whole thing) since he was three! At least its only going to be in the low 90's. We've been getting some rain so its cooled down some. The last couple of days have been in the mid 80's! But low 90's is better than 110° anyday.

My bathing suit is a bright red/pink patterned two piece. It's a tank and short shorts. I think it's cute, but not with my thick legs. :-(
Have fun at Six Flags! Go on lots of crazy rides!

I may be sticking pretty close to the kid's rides since I'm going to be there with my nephew. I don't know how many grownup ones he'll be able to ride (or will want to). But that was the plan so its okay. This is for him. If there's a chance, I'll try to sneak off to ride the Superman ride. It looks scary as all get out!

The park was fun, even though there weren't a lot of rides. What wasn't fun was walking around barefoot. OUCHIE.
I got a blister on the bottom of one toe. Double OUCHIE.
I don't know how everyone does it. Everyone was walking around barefoot and they didn't seem to have any problems. I must have really sensitive feet.

The more you walk around bare footed, the tougher the bottom of you feet get. But then your feet are all hard and callused. Not too attractive. They have these swimming shoes to wear around here. I think its partly to protect from athlete's foot or whatever, but also for the concrete, which gets too hot to walk on. I'm glad you had fun! What was the temperature?
I got blisters too from walking around Six Flags. I also got over heated at one point and had to sit out a few rides while I poured water on my head. They've gotten alot better about stuff like that than they used to be. They will give you free ice water at any food place, and have these water mister things every few rides. I stayed pretty hydrated, I think I got dizzy and sick from riding the Flashback right after lunch (you go through 2 loops, first frontward, then backward, then frontward again, then backward again). But I was also really red according to everyone else, and I felt really hot. I think being out of shape had alot to do with it too. But I got past that little spell and had a great time.
The kids rode EVERYTHING we did! One of them was only 5! We were all like, you're the bravest 5 year old I've ever known! My nephew wanted to ride everything (he's 8). There were only a couple of rides they weren't tall enough to ride, like the Superman ride, but they had minature versions for the kids which they LOVED! They had minature bumper cars (my nephew had been really upset that on the adult ones he wasn't tall enough to drive) and a minature rollar coaster (which was surprisingly rough) and minature water rides. It was so freaking cute! Whoever thought of that was smart. And although they liked the grownup ones, they liked the kids ones just as much or more. I think kids like things that are specifically for kids.
Overall it was a great time. We were there for 10 hours. I'm still so sore all over! Man, if I got that kind of exercise everyday I'd be so freaking skinny!

Sounds like you have a lot of fun! Isn't it great seeing how happy kids can be? Those are some adventurous kids! I remember being terrified of roller coasters! Actually, I still am! I always almost chicken out while waiting in line and when the ride is at the apex, just about to fall down, that's when I want OUT! LOL
I like the roller coaster more than the spinning rides. The spinning rides make me nauseous. I like speed of the coasters.
I'm terrified of the "drop" rides. Roller coasters are ok, because the drop isn't as long, but golly gee, those drop rides!
