a CD? Is there anything that will outhold a CD? I need to find something that will hold more than 600 MB.

A DVD will hold more than a CD. Make sure you have the right kind of DVD drive that will record a DVD. I've never done this before, but it's very popular. Another option is to use a mini-USB drive. It looks like a keychain and can hold 256-500 MB and even more if you pay a little more.

Thanks! I didn't know I couuld get a USB that would hold that much, the one I have holds very little.

You can also get a small USB hard-drive. They will hold 50 GB or more (that's 50,000 MB). I use one for data back-up. But it has mechanical parts so its lifespan is probably going to be less than a CD or DVD. I've seen them at Target lately for maybe $150 or $100, I forget exactly.

I just got a 1GB flash (USB) drive.

my computer's running out of HD space...actually I think I'm going to have to buy an external hard drive. My mom found some online for $99 - they were 250GB.

Disk arrays quite often have up to 100's of terabytes of storage.
