Last night, I had a vivid dream that I was eating a prepared rotisserie chicken. I was reading the label and it said:
Chicken prepared with salt, pepper, and Abilify. No preservatives.
In my dream, I thought, well, if they're putting Abilify in chickens these days, it must be safe to eat, and I munched away.
*************
This morning I'm cleaning up a bit here and there, and I pick up the magazine I was reading last night until seroquel made me pass out (literally dropped the magazine). It was open to a full-page ad for Abilify, with a woman facing a sunny green meadow, something about managing bipolar disorder.
Honestly, I have NO recollection of ever seeing this ad before, but part of me MUST have seen it.
Anyone care to interpret? ;o)

you are the chicken. you have a crazed (is that uncivil?) fanatic stalking you. you have to take the meds to keep your mind from being paranoid (abilify is also an antipsychotic, correct?). she (aha! you wouldn't have thought the crazed person to be her,. would you?) came over for a tea party, spiked your drink with some sort of poison that's always on csi-you know the kind that doesn't leave a trace) and now she's revealed (on your deathbed no less) that's thsi chicken is not a vegetarian...... you need to speak with your therapist asap, you sure have some sick dreams.
even better, you been feeling yellar lately, chicken? cluck cluck cluck
and don't go crossing no streets anytime soon!

you were eating the chicken? if you are the chicken and you were eating the chicken, there is a simple explanation here. you are your own crazed fan (even more uncivil?). the chciken represents the aspect of yourself that you wish to 'poison and eat'. have you been naughty lately?

It's like the Abilify was a marinade for the cooked chicken. Or perhaps the Abilify was an ingredient in the chicken feed, like antibiotic and growth hormones? Well, at any rate, there it was, right next to salt and pepper. Tasty chicken, BTW!> Are you having second thoughts about your medication?
>
> Disclaimer: All dream interpretaions presented for entertainment only.Well, no. actually my medication regimine is going pretty well at this point. I'm adjusting well to the 300mg of seroquel. I just don't like that acute passing out feeling about 23-27 minutes after taking the horse pill.
I don't know ANYTHING about Abilify, other than that it's a psychopharm drug maybe used for bipolar, maybe an antipsychotic...
thanks for asking! Boy, I'm sure glad I wasn't eating roasted duck. That might have been awkward.

Perhaps my cat? She was awfully fond of the rotisserie chicken we ate for dinner on Saturday Night. AND she was doing some stalking behavior last night (stalking husband, not me)

Uh oh! that is one of my FUNNY dreams!! I share the sick ones with my T. :) I like meat. I wouldn't care about the vegetable status of a chicken. However! the SHE-stalker and the poisonous tea. Definitely has me wondering about a certain somebody...hmmm. yessss...
> even better, you been feeling yellar lately, chicken? cluck cluck cluckBeen feeling plenty of NORMAL lately. almost TOOOOO normal!
> and don't go crossing no streets anytime soon!K-K I only cross the streets when I'm holding an adult's hand and after looking both ways.

Uh Oh... I HAVE been eating me lately. (my cuticles, that is). I'm scared.
Here's what an ultra-paranoid Lindenblossom might conclude from K-K's insights:
1) K is reading every single post I write, taking mental notes (no physical trace) of the minutiae of my life.
2) K has figured out my weakness, akin to my achilles heel.
3) K, knowing me better than I know myself, because she has access to my unconscious mind via connections between the minutiae, will now seek to drive Lindenblossom to wonder- how well do I know myself?
4) K, having knowledge, has power. Moreover, having knowledge of CSI, she has access to several season's worth of forensic anomalies and triumphs.
5) K quietly reminds Lindenblossom of her promise not to injure and maim herself...
6) K is benign, but omniscient.
7) Is such a combination as (6) possible?STAY TunEd!
That's paranoid Li. She's pretty freaky huh? Regular old me says "Hi" you're pretty clever :)

you said (yes, i heard you saying it out loud)
I like meat.
*wow! me too! i think meat is my favorite food group.
and you said (actually muttered thsi one)
I wouldn't care about the vegetable status of a chicken.
*now, what she (the chicken) meant was that she wasn't a vegetarian and is also a cannabal. now, does this remind you of someone close? huh, guess looking at it this way, you could also be exploring your sexuality (hey, you talk about your cat jsut a bit too much, don't you think? hmmmm... think on that one for a while)
hey, you asked!!!!! (and if i were you, i wouldn't rub myself in butter in front of the cat anymore...

Please don't make me choose. I even have salad cravings once every few years.

> I wouldn't care about the vegetable status of a chicken.I don't like that fake soy-wheatgluten meat substitute though. If it's gonna be chicken, it better be a former bird. preferably plucked, and cooked to well-done.
> *now, what she (the chicken) meant was that she wasn't a vegetarian and is also a cannabal.
But is the chicken an autocannibal? That's the thing, you see. If so, we get into a conumdrum "which came first, the chicken or the chicken feed [Abilify]?" And if I eat myself, who contains [Abilify], wouldn't I have to be taking [Abilify?]
>now, does this remind you of someone close? huh, guess looking at it this way, you could also be exploring your sexuality (hey, you talk about your cat jsut a bit too much, don't you think? hmmmm... think on that one for a while)hmm. it reminds me of my cat. or me. Maybe I *am* my cat. But I love my cat too much. In lieu of children, I expend my maternal energies on Fluffly cat. I agree that I think of my cat too much. The real problem is that I'm working from home these days, and the cat is around ALL the freakin' time!
I certainly don't love mySELF that much. I would never eat myself with gusto. I only take a nibble here and there, anxiously checking to make sure I haven't done any damage that won't heal within a week or so.
As far as pussycats go, those are not really on the menu. only chickens. rotisserie roasted chickens.
> hey, you asked!!!!! (and if i were you, i wouldn't rub myself in butter in front of the cat anymore...
Well? I can't help it! Her litterbox is in the only room with a shower. I always put on my body butter while my skin is still damp! How else would I maintain my youthful glow? And so what if she sees me in my birthday suit. She's been spayed and certainly does not enjoy people-food (with the exception of a healthy chomp at my husband's calf)
This dialog is almost making me wish I were more unstable-crazy so that I could enjoy it to the fullest extent.

p.s. roast boneless leg of lamb with potatoes & Insalata caprese on the menu this evening. I have no idea what is for dessert. Maybe my husband will be able to come up with some ideas

I have my moments. Tonight's dinner was a TRIUMPH. Best of all, it was easy to do. Anyone could have done it. (see recipe to follow)

Phillipa, I have to admit, I cannot follow your question. Would you mind rephrasing?

Li I realized it when I clicked. I was thinking that I have dreams about nursing and not being able to find my patients and care for them if I've been thinking of nursing again. Or if thinking during the day of my Children or yes ex's I will have a dream in some wierd way about them that night. I think you're on target with the magazine and maybe you saw just enough without knowing it to give you the dream. Or you were questioning the long seroquel thread and wondered unconsciosly if you were on the right med or dose. Dreams are so complex. Love Jan

Meat and potato dinner for 2-4
3 pound boneless leg of lamb- trim all the yucky bits and membrane and tendon you can.
6 cloves of garlic cut into thin slices.
salt pepper, whatever herbs you've got handy- I used crushed pepper corns, kosher salt, a little dried thyme and some steak rub (cupboard is kinda bare of dried herbs, but thyme and rosemary would be AWESOME!) make about 1.5 TBSP, saving half to season the potatoes.
season inside and outside with the spices, use a small sharp knife to poke holes in the meat, and stuff a sliver of garlic in each one. put some on the inside of the leg if you can. have fun- put some of the salt seasoning in the little holes too, if you're feeling ambitious. this is a mess. oddly satisfying- you'll see! (10 mins) You can even leave it in the fridge overnight at this point to get really zesty!
1 russet potato per person- cut into BIG CHUNKS! Whatever other veggies you can dig up. Carrots? Sweet potatoes? Squash? Mushrooms? onions? put in a big bowl. pour some olive oil on top (however much you feel you deserve). Add the reserved salty seasoning and toss well.
Preheat oven 400degrees celsius HAHA just joking. Fahrenheit.
put Roast on a oiled roasting pan. If your roast is tied together really well, it will probably take about 1 hour + 15 mins standing under Aluminum foil for medium. carve in thin slices. It's not an easy thing to carve, cause the meat grows in all different directions, but I hope yours is nice and tender, so that it doesn't matter how silly your slices look- just put a pile of lamby chunks on a plate, surround with the vegetables, add salad to fill up the plate.
Big potato chunks need 30 mins to roast to tender. Either add them at the beginning and dig them out, or add them halfway through. Smaller veggies need less time. I added the onion chunks about 10 minutes before pulling the whole thing out.
green salad (or tomato salad) (10 mins)
Voila.... they will be so! impressed! 30 mins prep, plus 1 hour of oven, plus 15 mins of resting time for the juices to be resorbed into the meat.
Note: [Abilify] may be added at the discretion of your pdoc.
Sweet Dreams,
-Li

That sounds tough Phillipa :(

Yep, the everyday mundane stuff is really playing a prominent role in my dreams lately. An alternative is that I'm merely remembering them better when I'm awake.
>Or you were questioning the long seroquel thread and wondered unconsciosly if you were on the right med or dose.
Oh goody! I haven't been over to the meds board in a week at least!! I better go have a peep, huh?
