“Beginning today, treat everyone you meet as if they were going to be dead by midnight. Extend them all the care, kindness and understanding you can muster. Your life will never be the same again.” - Og Mandino
But the quote doesn't say that my life will be better or worse. It just says "never the same"
In my experience on Psycho-Babble, the act of giving supportive feedback to others has changed my life. For the better.
Opened my mind to the idea that there are all kinds of people. Opened my mind to the idea that "crazy people" are people. Once I can accept the idea that a "crazy person" deserves support, relief, companionship; I can accept the idea that I [as a "crazy person"] am also worthy of the same.
I stopped drawing a line. A harsh line between ME/NORMAL or ME/HEALTHY or ME/CRAZY or ME/LOVEABLE.
Thank you psychobabble folks for allowing me erase those lines.
babble-love to you guys.

Very nice quote. I really like that idea. Reaching out or being kind to someone in a way I normally wouldnt often leaves me feeling so good about myself. It's one of the only things that allows me to say "I'm a good person" and believe it. Sometimes anyway.
I agree that posting on babble has been a big learning experience for me. I dont respond nearly as much as I should/want to/etc for many different reasons, but I have learned a lot. The support I have received here has proved to me that I'm NOT crazy and that I really am okay, time and time again. I'm still working on building up the nerve to post responses, as I often wonder if I have anything insightful to say, but it's such a good feeling when I do. I want eveyone here to feel heard and cared for.
I guess I got off topic there. But yes, I agree with you linden. Thanks for posting that.

Li thanks and one of the reasons I post so much is it almost feels like I'm back at work which is a good thing for me. Love Phillipa
