I already went to a halloween party. it was fun (well, kind of)

you should definitely ask the mammo folks for a lollipop.
Tell your pdoc you want some samples, and bring a trick-or-treat bag. hold it out- ask for some "candy"

It is so weird - in my neighbourhood people sit in lawn chairs in their front yards with their candy to give away. Those are the only houses the kids stop at. Even if you have lights, decorations etc., if you aren't sitting out there with the rest of them, your doorbell is unrung and nobody stops.
I imagine that it's a safety thing (???!!!) so that the parents can plainly see there are no boogeypeople lurking behind the closed doors. (And it's warm where I live so you don't sit outside in the cold.)
But now I have a bag full of bad-for-you candy and chocolates. And I sure don't want to eat them!
