I feel I must apologize to you all. Well, random people really.
I do this annoying thing ALL THE TIME. I cannot stop. It's is really affecting my quality of life.
I click the little box to address my post to a particular poster.
Problem: I might write Dear Madame Xcellence, I hope your earplugs are dense and the night is still... etc.
and then I click the box (not for Madame Xcellence) but rather for Sir SuperKool. And that drives me BONKERS.
I don't notice other people doing this hardly at all! I swear I must account for at least 80% of these misaddressed posts.
Please accept my humble apologies. Know that I humiliate myself over and over again by writing a post from the bottom of my 3-chambered heart cordially dearly to Madame Xcellence. and then I put the wrong address on it. How EmbarASSing. really.
(did I get around Dr. Bob's auto-asterisking system? keep in mind that embarrassing often involves an *ss. so so sorry)
hiding under the covers until further notice,
Ll

I was just glad to see my name on the end of a post subject line recently even if it was not directed at me. If anyone can bring a thread to a screeching halt or be totally ignored within a thread, it's me. (sorry, shameless self pity commentary... sigh)

That made me laugh, because I seem to always misaddress my posts and I get embarrassed.
Yesterday when I posted on admin, I specifically reminded myself to *uncheck* the box, so I looked and there was no box, I thought "Oh I guess dr. Bob has changed his system"
After I posted I saw that it was because I'd started a new thread which I'd definitely not meant to do, and there's never a check box when you do that *sigh*
One step forward, two steps back..

Gabbi,
It's funny, when other people do it, I assume that there is a reason for it. Perhaps they want Madame X-cellence to read their heartfelt support of Monsieur ZsusXst.Why is that?

I'm not kidding! It's kind of the way I look at life in general, with some extreme exceptions.
"Oh they must do it that way not because it's not very swift, but because they know something I don't"How's that for a heavy answer?
