Has anyone seen this film? I won't give it away, but I think parents should be warned that its content may not be appropriate for children. And to put it gently I don't think the studio is adequately providing such warning.

I agree, bring lots of kleenex. It has a very very sad part to it. I just cried and cried and cried. My nephew asked what was wrong and I told what happened in the move just made me really sad. I said "Doesn't it make you feel sad?" And he said "No". I said "Why not?" And he said in a 'how could you be so ridiculous voice' "Because it ISN"T REAL".
Kids just trip me out.

>I know what you mean. I'm glad to hear your nephew wasn't upset by it. All I could hear in the theater was the sound of children crying in 360 degree surround sound, and seeing so many sad, crying children leaving the theater.
What bothers me is Disney is marketing it as a sort of lighthearted fantasy adventure film. I think this marketing is deceptive. And it is marketed directly toward the demographic which is least likely have the maturity to deal with it (children).
I have a new appreciation of PG. And Disney.

Yes its definitely for older kids, if for no other reason than it will be too slow for the younger ones. My nephew (at almost 9) was JUST old enough for it to keep his interest. I told a friend it was more comparable to "My Girl" than " The Chronicles of Narnia".
