Unfortunately its about a 3.5 - 4 hour drive for me to Austin, one way. So it would be a bit time consuming. I love visiting there, its just something that would require a bigger time commitment from me.

Go see the bats!! It is impressive. There is even a bat hotline (yes!) to call to find out current bat viewing times....generally ten minutes to dusk.
Have never seen anything like it before. Largest urban colony in North America. Well worth making time for if you're able.

Take your camera, Dr. Bob. and maybe start a new thread. sometimes we only check the bottom of the page. I nearly missed the babble-party in chicago for this reason. Some kind babbler b-mailed me, thank goodness!

While I'm at it, I'd like to formally invite Britney Spears to join us on psycho-babble. I think we could give her a lot of sensitive support as she struggles with issues of parenting, substance abuse, and self-injury via head-shaving. Plus, we're available 24/7 on her smart-phone. The miracle of technology. We could be posting to Britney as she runs around Las Vegas without any cash, hotel reservation or bikini. I do so wish to give dear Britney some kind and gentle support as she struggles with forming a new identity outside of the love of her marriage with Kevin Federline and under the kind maternal guidance of the only mother she's ever known.
