Some of you probably never knew I was gone, but nonetheless... I'm home from visiting caraher and his family this weekend. We'd never met before. He is WONDERFUL! Dont believe the negative things he says about himself from time to time. I didnt believe any of them before anyway, but now I have solid proof!
Sorry we didnt get to meet up with you ever kk. :( I'm feeling motivated to meet more new people after my first good experience, so I hope I get to meet some other babblers some day too. If anyone is ever anywhere near Virginia, let me know!

Thanks! I live in Harrisonburg, about an hour from UVA and Charlottesville, if that rings a bell. I grew up in northern Va though (Springfield). I do like it here.

Harrisonburg is in the mountains. It's sort of near (30 min) the intersection of I-81 and I-64, if that helps at all. Sort of the north-western part of the state. I've been to Va Beach though a few times.. its very nice down there. About a 4 hour drive from me.

How wonderful! I've been lucky to meet many babblers IRL. It's enriching and empowering to meet face to face with such a great group of people.
I'm way south of where you live, but I'm always travelling. Who knows?

Anyway, I am very glad for you!

I didn't "know" enough folks to come to the Toronto event. I felt very much an 'outsider' then.
If anyone is going to be in the Toronto area, I'm game for meeting.

It's about an hour from me. Glendale. I have a 2nd bedr. that has a bath just off it. I won't go to the game; too much $. I was thinking mayB I should actually post this b4, so here it is. There's a pool right outside this window, gonna' warm up to mid 80s today, then will prob' be the beginning of the hot weather months soon. I just woke up ... well kind of 'again'. I awakened about 7a again. Don't work. Managed to fall back to sleep. I'm glad tho' as it makes for a long day for me. That was too early yesterday morn' and then had a 'too late night' also!

Or, am I so 'not knowledgable about sports', that's it's here this year? Think it already took place. Hmmm.
Oh, I'm meeting someone I met on beliefnet. We're gonna' try meet between she and I @ a cool place for ice tea w/ raspberries and other delicacies. She sounds wonderful.
There's 'a lot of stuff to do around me', ya' know if u wanted to 'get away from me'. :-(
Nah .. I'm not that bad or anything. Can't remember last time I had company.
I'd prob' be like 'make yourselves right @ home 'cuz I really don't reads minds too well or wait on peeps very well either', so it could be like open the cupboards, come and go, whatever, fine w/ me.

I'm not into sports at ALL. For some reason I'm a little embarrassed by that!
If I have company, I much prefer them to make themselves at home totally - that way I can relax & hopefully, they'll be able to also.
