To my newly found puddy cat.....meow! I hope you like your ears rubbed and your belly scratched. And really, honey, I don't mind the hairballs. But I think you're woman enough to clean up after yourself by now. *smile*
I know, everybody thinks I'm a newbie here with a terrible psychotic disorder. Lol. But Scratchpost understands!
Take care of yourself, hon.
Love and God bless,
Sandy

Of course you can. Scratchpost, this is Phillipa. Phillipa, this is Scratchpost.Oooohhhhhh, you mean to say "hi" to me!!!! Hee hee. Hi Phillipa! I don't think I've been on Dr. Bob's site for the past year, and then just started posting a few months ago on the med section. You're one active lady, and I'm pretty darn sure you've been on this board before I joined up...what...maybe 4 years ago? You've got LOTS of friends here. (Let's just hope that Scratchpost has had her distemper shot and likes you, too! If not, I'll hold her down and you can drug her. Then we'll run like mad because you know she's going to have a temper at first!!! LOL).
Thanks for saying "hi". Hope you're doing well.
God bless,
Sandy

Ears loved to be scritched!! Belly rubbing will get a swat and warning bite, as my Abs of Oatmeal don't stand up well to attention.
Do you know that yesterday, in honour of our reacquaintance, that I lovingly cleaned up some kitty hork spots off the carpet in our utility room.
Long live babble!

What?? I thought your kitty horked on MY carpet. I spent all night cleaning up imaginary hairballs? Lol.Nice to know that you and Phillipa are friends. She always has nice things to say. I thought she had been around here longer than me, but apparently not. Yikes, I must be on my way to being "permanently" insane. Remember the song:
They're coming to take me away, ha ha, hee hee, ho ho
They're coming to take me away
To the Funny Farm
Where life is beautiful all year round
And I'll be happy to see those nice young men in their long green coats
And they're coming to take me away!I guess that will be us one day. Lol. Actually, it has been 4 years in March since I first went to a doctor about my anxiety, and then the roller coaster of meds began. I haven't really been around on the boards for the past year or so because Remeron was working so well, but I gained massive poundage (!!), and had to quit. Now I'm on Effexor XR (love it), Lopressor SR (love it), and clonazepam (love it). It's a real good combo for me. Just thought it would be neat to come back to the old stomping grounds and see who's still around and if I can share any med experience with people on the med forum.
How about you and Phillipa? How long have you been around?
God bless,
Sandy

I remember exactly when it was when Scott started cymbalta and followed his daily struggle. So about 2 1/2 years? Love Phillipa seriously the effexor helps your anxiety? As I posted a thread on the meds board on it?

----------------------------
Hi Phillipa,Yes, I really believe that the Effexor helps me a lot. I've posted a bunch of messages on it, but I just seemed to be repeating myself over and over and figured everyone was getting tired of hearing my same old story.
I don't have a problem with Serotonin but rather with epinephrine. So none of the wonderful SSRIs that I tried helped me one bit....in fact, made me WORSE. Then Remeron worked at a high dose, and that was because it was impacting the epinephrine. When I gained WAAAYYYY too much weight on it, I stopped for some time and tried to "heal thyself", so to speak. THAT didn't work. Lol. So I tried Effexor XR at a dose where it impacts the norepinephrine more than anything else...I think it starts working on that neurotransmittor at around 150mg. Now I'm on 300mg, and I feel pretty good on it. I'm still agoraphobic, but not as bad as I was. I also use a beta blocker for the physical symptoms of anxiety, and a benzo for the psychological symptoms of anxiety. But the Effexor XR is working its charm, and I don't need as much of the other two meds as I previously did. I still have the anxiety disorder and can't go outside without a safe person yet, BUT....it's a process, you know? And I'm feeling less anxious, and that has to be a good thing.
Do you know which neurotransmittor is causing you the problems? Discover that, and then you have a better chance at finding the right combo for you. Good luck, hon!
God bless,
Sandy
