Just say no to it?

I read our local newspaper every day (funny pages are saved for the last).

I read the CNN and BBC internet sites several times during the day and sometimes get sucked into the E!Online vortex for the juicy star stories, but reading E! always makes me feel dirty afterwards.

The TV is on intermittently through the day - MSNBC for news, local channels for up to the minute, "scare your pants off" weather coverage; and The Daily Show and Colbert Report on the Comedy Channel for serious news reporting. I don't care so much for CNN, and don't like Fox.

Radio - NPR only, so only if I'm driving somewhere during rush hour. It's my favourite, but not working means I don't really get a chance to listen anymore. I have poor radio reception in the house :-(

How about you - where do you get your news?

SP seriously? I no long read the news or watch it as it's too depressing and not good for me. What I need to know I hear from people when out. Love Phillipa

Mostly NPR and the newspaper, the latter mostly just paging through recently.. I'd like to watch MCNBC once in a while-- but the last few days they haven't even had any news on. Weird.

I also get news from the Daily Show-- of course.

radio, tv, newspaper, all local. Not necessarily in that order.

Local stuff is depressing enough and at least I have an illusion that I have a better chance of doing something about what I see or hear.
