Oh zen, I'm so sorry about your mother. And about the package. So many precious things, once broken, seem irreplaceable. All we can do, I think, is hold the pieces close to us and remember what they represent.

Thank you to each and every one of you for the kind wishes.
We ended up having to fly to border town, rent vehicle and drive across the border to the next airport. Nothing like a 17 hour travel day when in a numb state like this.
The details are overwhelming due to living in separate countries. That's why ma paid ppl to take care of these matters. The lawyers and financial ppl will explain all we'll need to know.
It was hard that it took almost a week just to get out here. Phoning her friends in the States who haven't yet heard has to be one of the saddest things we have to do as her children. At least the two of us are glued to one another as we're both in shock and numbly making plans that neither of us fully understand.
Sigh.
goddess and god bless the support from here over the years. the e-mails, phone calls, IMs and all other communications have been holding us up. thank you again for all of your kindness and love.
until next time online...

Take good care, Zen. I don't know what else to say except that I know how difficult it can be to be in another country when you've lost a parent - you're absolutely marooned. My thoughts are with you.

back in the states again. seems like bro went through last two weeks in fog while we made decisions....now we're in fog and cannot think way out of paper bag. bro returning to normal-ish. we've hit wall and crashed--hard.
guess that's normal. am deeply moved by outpouring here and IRL mails as this exhausted heart needs support to recover and heal.
much love for the kindness and condolences

ran to Reno for wknd (and no, not to shoot a man just to watch him die!) so as not to be alone for turkey day stuff. friend's family has been very welcoming and comforting.
it truly sucks sweetie. hurts more than imagined and keep sweeping over in waves when least expected.

to help you out during the holidays hun. maybe if it makes you feel better, you could always pop down to reno, via greyhound (tatertots :) and watch a man die? jsut to do it? ok, maybe not...
sweetie, it'll get better. certainly not anytime soon of course. don't believe anyone who tells you that crap, but it will.
take your meds (you hoarder (notice the *er*)), and sleep as long as your body will allow you. i'm always here, call collect. mister kk won't mind, but you may get an answer similar to "WHO IS THIS???" :)
we love you here!!
