I used to make various dishes, but am happiest making only one, although I admit it is good.
Therefore I shall bring along my fish curry.
It's a Parsee dish.

Sorry, but I'm going to have to pass on the bird. It'd be a disaster if I did it. I don't know the first thing about what to do with a turkey....other than to eat it.
I'm a HUGE fan of anything pumpkin (and anything sweet), so I'll bring pumpkin fudge, pumpkin cheesecake, pumpkin bread and pumpkin creme brulee. How's that sound?

I can't cook, but I can open a can of cranberry sauce. I'll even mash it up so it isn't can shaped.

Don't be so sure.
I can't even drink beer or wine.
I shall bring my own whisky, maybe a bottle of Tullamore Dew.
And some vitamins for after the meal.

Your salad sounds "delish"! I'm going to make it soon.
I serve acorn squash halved, and filled with warm lumpy homemade applesauce, garnished with chopped walnuts. It's yummy.

On the red salad...I think I'll add dried cherries! I love sweet things with feta.

It appears that its going to be a grand feast llurps. I go to my Mom's house where we pretty much have the same stuff. We all give her a pass every year for not experimenting or jazzing the meal up. Change is hard for her. When I married my wife she insisted that she bring something for her first Thanksgiving with us. Being a good Italian girl she found it incredulous that bread was not ever served. So when we arrived she brought some fresh Italian bread and roles baked in the neighborhood within hours of our meal. My Mom gave her a curt, "That's nice dear," and put the bread somewhere in the kitchen. We all ceremoniously sat down together and my wife commented under her breath that the roles were conspicuously missing from the table. I was going to be chivalrous and fetch them when she firmly grabbed me indicating that she was alright.
I guess the apple doesn't fall far from the tree and all because one year my Mom decided to stop making the creamed onions, you know those little ones like pearls that are so sweet and mix real well with the stuffing. I must have thrown a fit because they were back the next year despite being as unpopular as ever. But I'm happy. You know, change is hard.
I'll bring those.

Yeah, just this morning I was listening to some of the Bear players talking about the game. I hear dead people.
Key lime pie? Are we eating in Forida?
I have problems with change.

Of course, that kind of pie is totally appropriate where I am - as is sweet potato, though I'm not very fond of that one.I will bring to the virtual Babble gathering my Brussel sprouts sauteed with bacon AND butter. Can't harden those arteries fast enough.

I'll bring custom made couture dresses for all the beautiful ladies here at PB who attend the dinner. Of course this will require one on one meetings and muslin fittings to get the perfect fit. It would make a group photo for vogue a must. Also, KK would probably insist on flaunting her wares for the camera but after a forced scrubbing and some makeup we could all live with this behavior. After all, it's Thanksgiving!

Can we skip the formal fitting and use fantasy fittings instead? I'd be happy to give you my imaginary dimensions and you can make me a ballgown to fit me :)KK will bring the high heels. and yes, some scrubbing (at least some dish scrubbing) is in order

Ll,
Fantasy fittings and imaginary dimensions will will work just fine for your custom fitted ballgown. Only the finest silk that meets with your approval will be used.It also looks like a forced scrubbing of KK will not be necessary. She states in a post below that she is ending her 22 day strike and showering for Thanksgiving.

The Thanksgiving feast was virtually delicious. I especially enjoyed the Key Lime Pie.
