Some of you know my dearest friend hasn't been well.
He lives across the pond, so I don't get to see him and his wife and kids often.
Last May I was over and he looked just great. You wouldn't know he'd been sick - well, unless you knew.
Recently he's taken a turn for the worse. A tumor was found on his spine and he can't drive anymore - or walk either he says.
I'm so scared for him and his family.
Thursday I'm heading over. I'm teaching a class next week but I'll spend the weekend with them - and the weekend after too.
I know I need to be strong - and to keep my sense of humor. But it's going to be tough.
Please send vibes.

I was just thinking about you this afternoon and wondering how you are doing. I was going to either post a hello or send an email.
I'm sorry about your friend. That's got to be tough for you, too. I'm sending positive vibes for you in your travel and time with him, and for him.
Good to see your name here.

Good to see your name here, though other circumstamces would, of course, be much better. I remember your postings about your friend in the past.
I don't do vibes, but I do do prayers - often and often and well...always.
I will pray for you and your trip, and for strength and peace for your friend and his family to walk through whatever comes next. How beautiful of a gift to them already that they have such a friend as you. Never underestimate how much that surely means to them.
All I know is that part of why we can bear the dark times is we have each other (e.g. Babblers, as you said) and that the light always follows the darkness.
You take care, Mel.
