Our TV had to be sent to the repair shop - did you know that there still are repair shops? Thank goodness, and if you bought one of the first generation Sony rear projection high definition TV's, then you have that experience to look forward to. It's only there for a few days.
First, the dust! where the TV had sat on the pedestal. I was so certain I had cleaned so well, but Swiffers don't lie, do they? And there was the evidence, swiped as soon as the TV was lifted off of the pedestal/home entertainment stand. A closer examination with 409 and a paper towel was required. Ah, back to the faux semi-metallic finish we expected.
But no sooner was the surface cleaned off, but the cat replaced the TV. She definitely deserves to be on this pedestal, and can't quite believe that we'd been keeping the TV on it, instead of her, for all this time. Imagine! All this space to lie out and groom oneself in faux semi-metallic splendour, and we'd been giving all this attention to a silly squawk box? Those humans, will they ever learn?
She sits. She squints. She yawns. She gazes at a paw, gives it a perfunctory lick before tucking it under her chest. She twitches her whiskers in the dappled afternoon sunlight. She basks. If you look at her long enough, she'll turn over on her back and look at you upside down. Why we ever bothered with television, she'll never understand.
She's only got a few days to enjoy her glamour before the TV returns to resume its spot on the entertain center. But, for now, the cat has made it very clear that she is to be the center of our attention. On our faux semi-metallic pedestal, for our viewing pleasure.

The way the mute on the feline works is:
you pick the feline up (it becomes mute for a few seconds).
you shake the can of cat treats, the volume increases on the feline, until you give it one treat, and then it becomes mute.We don't have the remote thingy - the feline is a hands-on model only!

ClearSkies this was so good and refreshing to hear this story and Toph well he needs to be on TV because he can always make me laugh and that is a good thing especially after the session I had last night. I just the way you wrote the story of your cat CS and the way Toph added his remarkable sense of humor. Well it brightened my day.
