The office is closed due to a blizzard. Bad news is our snow blower won't start so my husband shoveled us out. Though a kind neighbor did the sidewalk out front. I promise to help shovel later if the snow keeps falling, maybe.
Hoo boy a snow day just like when I was in school. Except no way I am going outside to play.

Must be 20 years since been in deep snow. I used to love to shovel it. Cold and crisp invigorating. Phillipa

It's in the seventies here, and I was in a sleeveless top and still warm. My family got sunburned yesterday at the parades. :)

Y'all should c'mon down. :) New Orleans is wonderful in the winter. The Japanese Magnolias and one of my roses are sure it's spring and are bursting forth in bloom.
I must confess we were very lucky for Mardi Gras. Often early Mardi Gras weather is chilly.
On the other hand, summers are horrendously hot. And we only get snow once in a blue moon.

Hi Philippa,
This is the heavy weight kind. Great for packing snowballs, but hard to lift. I hope the snowblower starts as we've gotten another six inches or so. It is pretty though.

Hi Dinah,
I must have hit NM by mistake. I'd love to come on down as soon as the airport opens again that is.
I saw a little bit of the parades on TV yesterday. I hope your weather holds.

Where are you Poet?
I'm in Ontario N of Toronto & today it's been snowing all day.
We were warned of a REALLY BAD storm. It hasn't developed here. Maybe elsewhere. Last time we were warned of one, it missed me also, although it 'hit' Tina.
I can't believe the lack of sun. It's abysmal.

Yesterday it was in the low 80's (it broke records). Today the low was something like 30°. I had to turn on the air conditioner yesterday and the heater today. That's TX for you.
I would love a blizzard! Snow and icicles are so pretty! The warm weather was nice though, as long as it lasted. Today I had to wear a coat.

We got over 20" here - all heavy. I think Bob should start an Advil board.

Hi Kath,
I'm in southeastern Wisconsin. Driving into work today I got stuck and three guys had to push me through the intersection. I suspect they didn't want to, but if I didn't move, they couldn't move.
I hope the storm misses you as we have well over a foot. Ick.

Hi TexasChic,
I would send some snow your way except your weather might go back into the 80s and then it would melt. With a 50 degree change in temperature how do you know what to wear? I picture myself with sweaters and T shirts in my car just in case the weather goes either way.

Hi Toph,
I second you on the Advil board. Once my husband got the snowblower going it wasn't always capable of handling the big drifts. So it was shovel down the drift and then use the snowblower. Will Spring ever come?

I guess I should have clarified that one day the HIGH was in the 80's and the next day the LOW was in the 30's. But yes, I have many sweaters and variety of coats in my car.
