i found a nice, sharp pair of scissors a few days ago. nothing good can come of this!
my hair is (should i write was) long. very long. not down to my butt long, but too long to do anythign with. and i see all these girls, with their cute, short cuts. it makes me angry. of course, everyone likes my long hair, but with my long face, i jsut look like a hippie or some sh*t. plus, long hair is very hard to tease, as i like to do with my hair. my motto is (for more than hiar, i miaght add) 'the bigger, the better'.
\
so, i found these scissors. i told mister kk that i'm desperately fighting the urge to cut my hair off with this mpair of scissors. he told me to wait, and i can get my hair done this weekendd. well, i'm anythign but patient.i hate going for haitcuts anyway. they are dressed so nice (and intimidating) and you hae to force conversation. not to mention, there's always the harrassing comments like 'what kind of conditioner do you use?' (accusing me of using cheap shampoo, are you?) or the comment 'when was the last time you got your hair cut? yoru roots look awful.' or i've even heard (from a girl i went to on a regular schedule, no less) 'you've sure got a whole lot of grey in your hair!' (no sh*t sherlock! i wouldn't be dying it and paying you to do it if i didn't)
i always feel accused. intimidated. and just plain bored. of course, once the cut and dye job is over, it looks fabulous, thus making the snide comments worth it(ALMOST!!).
not this time lady!!! i took the scissors and cut my own damn hair. i'm tired of the split ends. i'm tired of the old dye job. and most of all, i'm tired of not being able to put it in a ponytale without doubling my hair over!!!!
my head feels 5 pounds lighter!!! of course, i don't have the stripper hair anymore (you know, the kidn that flies everywhere when the wind hits it jsut right, and you can pose for a picture, winking and pursing your lips, casually running your hands through your hair.. you know what i mean, if you have long, glorious hair!). but, i do not have split ends. and i love short hair. and when i go to get my hair really cut this weekend, i know i'm going to get the whole 'who the hell cut your hair last??? it's sooooooo sloppy!' i'll get that and tell the woman 'i did it! i couldn't take this long hair anymore!'
when i called my sister to tell her, i heard my mother in the background saying 'oh no! well, she is bipolar, you know?'
yes, finally being bipolar pays off!!

Karen_Kay,
I just love it! The courage to be your own woman and do your own thing. I actually did the same thing. I was tired of people cutting my hair the way they wanted to. So for about 4 months I did my own and when I finally find someone I liked enough to go to, she did not notice I was the one doing my own. So either I am good or she is stoopid LOL....
Naw, she did do a fabulous job on my hair. I am going back on Friday to wash that man right out of my hair , I mean gray...
rsk
PS oh yeah, tell your mom I am not bi-polar and I cut my hair and Rachel Welch cuts her too but she may be crazy I don't know but I am crazy though that does not help your case none. So never mind don't tell her. But do tell her you wrote a great story here that we all like a lot...I did like your story above too :)

I'm lmao - ing at both of you!!!!
Kath
PS - as I've noted to kk I'm much inferior to her, as I have only 1 'k' in my name)
PSS - oh yeah ..... I also do NOT have long swingy, billowing stripper hair & kk I can hardly stand that you cut yours! I would DIE (well not really) for hair that blows in the breeze. Mine is tight ringlety curls.
;-)

the number of 'k's' in yoru name doesn't prove that you're superior doll. i only wish i was as sweet caring, supportive and pretty much perfect as you!
