So you know I've been really worried about my job and my boss, and today I was thinking about going to HR again. Not that they are any help, but I thought maybe I should at least have it on file that I was having problems with her BEFORE I get written up and it looks like I'm making it all up.
So I pulled up my HR persons calendar, and I see tomorrow she has an appointment with my boss, its labeled "Personnel Review" and my boss had scheduled it. On my boss's calendar it says "Private Event" which is what it says when you click the box to make it private. So of course I'm all worried now. If it was something common place, like they periodically have these discussions, then my boss wouldn't have made it private on her calendar. And it probably would never occur to her that I would look at the HR lady's calendar.
So I go to my coworker, who also works for my boss and commiserates with me often about how much she sucks, and I tell her about this. She's not really very computer savvy, so I don't think she really got that the way it was set up was odd. I told her I thought it could be a meeting scheduled to talk about me. She didn't act like she thought this was likely. So I told her that I've found out that when I'm feeling paranoid about something, there usually turns out to be a legitimate reason for it somewhere. She just laughed at me, thinking I'm overreacting, but said she would see if she could find out anything. I should add here that there have been other times in the past where she has said I'm overreacting or worrying too much and it turned out I was right.
So, I had arranged to take a half of vacation day today to go to the pdoc, and I was finishing up some things about 30 minutes before I was going to leave and realized my boss and coworker were nowhere around. Finally I asked somebody and she said they went out for lunch. Not only was it unusually early for them, but they usually tell me when they're leaving, especially considering I was going to be out the rest of the day.
So I waited until I thought my coworker might be off this afternoon and called her cell phone. She didn't answer so I left a message for her to call me when she had a chance. She hasn't called back yet, even thought I would have thought she would have by now. I just feel like my boss taking her to lunch like that meant she wanted to talk to her privately. And of course, now that she isn't calling me back I'm worried she doesn't want to talk to me because she doesn't want to tell me what was said. She's going to be out for the rest of the week, so I won't be able to talk to her again until Monday unless she calls me.
So that's my paranoid freak out for today. I'm sure more will follow.

T for once I hope you are wrong. It could just be coincidence as it is a Holiday Weekend. Possible that your Boss and HR were arranging for your Boss to be off with some vacation time. And maybe she your Boss took your coworker out to lunch cause she wanted her to pick -up some of the work. Pure speculation on my part. But hang in you will find out soon. And you're a devoted employee. Love Phillipa
