He was one of my favorite authors, second only to Stephen King! I'm crushed! "Timeline" is one of my all time favorite books. In fact, I put it at #2, after "The Talisman" by Stephen King.
RIP Michael Crichton. We've lost an amazing man.

Wasn't that sad? And it seemed so sudden - he kept his illness very quiet and private.

I know! But I certainly understand him wanting to keep it to himself.
Thanks for responding to my post, I was genuinely upset about his death. I escape into books, and my favorite authors mean a lot to me. Their books have saved me when I might have otherwise given up. If Stephen King dies before I do, I will be REALLY messed up.

> -TWhen I was going down hill, I was reading almost a book a day, thats all I did. But they had to be so engrossing that I couldn't think about anything else. The Talisman certainly did that. While I'm sure I've read Michael Crichton, I'm too brain dead to come up with titles, but I'm gonna see about Timeline, I don't recall that.
Thats a shame he's gone.
