I always hesitate to put names in the subject line like that, knowing that I'm going to leave out someone & they might be hurting badly (as I know so many of us are grieving for various reasons).
Grief is SO hard.

I am not grieving right now. I am not sure why. It might not be healthy. Perhaps something is laying dormant inside my mind. I did grieve just before my grandmother's impending death and at the funeral, but I seem to have accepted things as they are. I did lots of crying for a few days. Still, I expected more. I can look at pictures of her and not feel sad. I guess I have invested myself more in my wonderful memories of a wonderful woman than in her recent passing.I don't want to get into it too much now, but her death was made needlessly horrific by her attending doctors and nurses. This is what remains in my mind as sadness. I am also angry about the incompetent treatment she received and the suffering she experienced in her last waking moments, but that is part of a past that cannot be rectified by me. I wish I had that power.

Hi Scott,
It sounds like youu did VERY healthy healing right away & that has left you in a warm place of lovely memories.
I imagine healing is different for every person & possibly for every experience we grieve. I'm so glad you have the warm feelings. & I'm sorry about the negative things that happened at the end.
Aren't photos amazing? Imagine not having them!
I'm sending my love & hope it's sunny there like it is here.
luv, Kath
