I've solved this before but am reinstalling and can't remember where. Typing in the message box is not working. Firefox seems to be trying to remember it. Where do I go? I have the latest version, and am thisclose to ditching it.

are you sure you have the latest version, the newest is 3.5 ?. Many add-ins won't work anymore with a new version because they must be adapted/reprogrammed.
If you have a new laptop you can save everything (mails, links, chronic, adjustments) from firefox and thunderbird with MozBackup and then reinstall it in the clean, unused firefox, thunderbird.

I've got 3.5. My previous computer had a fried system board and came back wiped clean, although I do have an older computer I used Firefox on. Maybe I'll look into that.
I noticed that Realplayer addin isn't working. That's what you need for UTube right?
Hmmm... It may not have been Firefox after all. I noticed a popup from one of my system programs. I've disabled it for Babble and it seems to be working. Sometimes computers try a bit too hard to anticipate our desires.
