Thanks for the great video link, Manic. Let's share it with others. http://mais.uol.com.br/view/86111
Wow. The godfather of punk rock meets "love shack"!
...life is crazy...I know baby...candy baby...
I didn't care for it much when it came out as I was heavily into jazz during that period, but I'm appreciating it now.
It's an odd but cool pairing of two strong voices that work. An unusual blend...too bad they didn't collaborate further. Thanks for the listen, Manic. Isn't music wonderful?
Music has a way of softening the hard edges of life for me. What would life be without music?
Cheers!
Ava

I loved it, manic. He's a subdued Freddie but no less talented.
I didn't know till about 2 years ago that Jools was in one of my favorite bands, Squeeze. They were hella writers and I got totally hooked on them.
Frankly I loved the Beatles but never played their albums over and over but I did with Squeeze.
And Steely Dan, the dildo boys. They are very anal geniuses. Thanks manic. Though we got off to a rocky start, I admire you and hope somehow we cross paths someday.

I didn't read this thread until just now. I can't watch YouTube or hear music on my antique, barely alive computer, so I didn't bother to check it out. For some reason I just did and read references to Steely Dan and SQUEEZE! When I made my free association list of music for Phil I later wondered why I'd put Squeeze in since I hadn't thought of them, literally, in years, not a glimmer. Suddenly they popped up under my fingers on the keyboard and I've been wondering where my old tapes are ever since. This may really be a sign I'm ready to be able to listen to music again. If so, things may be looking up for me.
