why can't they do server maintenence / patching during off peak hours ON THE REALM WHERE THE SERVERS ARE LOCATED (e.g., presumably now is PRIME TIME for OCEANIA). grr Grr GRRRR

Hmm... You get that a little red icon means the servers are down and a little green icon means the servers are up - right? 'Cause they were down for about 8 hours across the board (across the world) while a major patch came out.
Spent all bloody afternoon trying to get things up and running again :-(
I stupidly tried to install an update to the expansion (burning crusade) without updating with the patch first. Error message meant I needed to uninstall then reinstall everything. Bloody several gigabytes for the expansion... Several hours of GAME PLAYING wasted. Grr. GRRRRRRR

yay!!! burning crusade (and the new races) rock!!! now i just need to start making some gold 'cause with the latest patch you can get your first mount at level 20!!! (((((wow))))) where the civility rules (((actually make sense)))

WTF??? Servers down 'for maintenance' AGAIN???
I guess there is much more to the game than I have realized yet... (with my under level 20 characters) And bugs that I can't even conceive of (not even being high enough level to do an instance or raid - to the best of my knowledge)... But that is a LOT of downtime for a service with a monthly subscription fee...
