Tens of 1000's of bands have come and gone trying to do what the Kinks did. Only prob, they weren't the Kinks.
I remember Oasis being hailed as the new Beatles. No one will knock God off his throne.
I hate comparisons. I know many love Oasis despite their loudmouth obnoxious singer. Each his own.

never been one for oasis,just a wall of noise,phil ray davies spends a lot of time in hospital with his depression, dave davies is recovering from a bad stroke

I read a story about Ray not that many years ago.
He was in New Orlean, pre-Katrina. You know, where white people lived and black people didn't.

eff off!!Anyway, Ray saw a lady get her purse snatched and he took off after the perp. Don't remember details but how can one not like Ray.
Thanks for the footage and bringing up possibly my favorite band growing up.
They will always be the Kinks. And the world is richer for it.

phil ray wrote a solo album about america an one of the songs was when he was in hospital after being shot . he was on an ordinary ward not private, an made friends with the junkies an drunks,wrote a great album.
