I made such a big fool of myself at the Y today. First I got the times for open swim mixed up so I went in the pool while all the swim lessons were going on. I was told there was only the lane in the back open to the public. Little did I know, that lane is for lane swimming and not for people who don't know how to swim. I only found this all out after consulting the pool schedule after being in the pool for about 30 mins.
So that was why there were people swimming in the lane. Wow, I must have been annoying!
That wasn't the most embarrassing thing though. People on the second floor doing cardio could see me flailing about in the water.
I was wearing a floatie all along, but I kept losing control. At one point I accidentally went across the dividing thingie onto the teaching side. Anyways, I would lose control and periodically flail around and swallow mouthfuls of water. Yup. I was coughing and flailing around in the lane reserved for lane swimming while lots of people on the second floor watched. LOL
So embarrassed!
I'm looking into getting swim lessons. I need them badly lol.
